Story: Java is a sweetheart of a senior with a ton of pep left in her step - the perfect pick-me-up to get you going every day! Java is super loving and very people-oriented. She adores children and is well-behaved with them. Volunteers have found this tender-hearted gal to be easy - she's easy to leash, handle, and walk. She's an approachable, friendly gal who enjoys spending time with her human friends. Java knows tricks and loves to show off - so be sure to ask her to sit or turn a few circles while she follows a treat! This girl has simple needs - good food, affectionate pets, short strolls, and comfy naps. Java would love a family who can spend plenty of time doting on her and sharing a slow and easy lifestyle.

She is a very sweet girl, and generally loves to just meander and do cat things while enjoying sunny spots, ear scratchies, and conversation with her human visitors. She’s very friendly and personable. DJ can coexist with other cats, but prefers a quieter home. She is hyperthyroid and needs medication but takes it better than a lot of humans do.
